Architecture in Downtown Milwaukee
There is some cool architecture in downtown Milwaukee, like the City Hall. It was built in 1895 and I was amazed when I found out that it was actually the tallest building in the world for the first four years of its life. You can go inside and see the atrium on weekdays, which is quite interesting and won't take long if you're passing.

When I went to the Milwaukee Art Museum
The Milwaukee Art Museum is right next to Lake Michigan, on North Art Museum Drive, and this sure is one spectacular building - stunning. To be honest, I was more interested in the actual building than the art works. The big sail makes it look like it might take off at any minute. It was well and truly flooded with natural light inside. Just an incredible place to experience. Nice lakeside views as well.

The City Riverwalk
The Milwaukee River winds through the city centre, by Wisconsin Avenue, and the city is obviously very proud of its river, because it looked like a lot of money had been spent to get the place looking so clean and tidy. It felt quite trendy, and there were a lot of boats going up and down the river, and a lot of riverside restaurants and bars. We sat on a table right by the river and enjoyed a glass of beer, well several in fact - it was a very hot day!
